Returning Citizen Women's Conference

1 on 1 Personal Development joined Family Unification Network on April 23 for their 1st “Returning Citizen Women’s Conference” to be held at Prince Hall Grande Lodge at 7340 Old National Highway, Riverdale, Ga.
 
The event included remarks from various Chaplains throughout the state, returning citizens and family and friends. Highlights of the event included music from First Corinth Baptist Choir, Forgiveness Ceremony by Shirley Ross and a soul stirring performance entitled “The Prodigal Daughter”  that simply captivated the audience performed by Mary Mitchell, Shirley Ross and Charlie M. Holiday-Wilson.

Coalition Against Homelessness

1 on 1 Personal Development and Feed My Sheep – Taking it to the Street Ministry” hosted a “Coalition Against Homelessness” April 28, 2016 at Second Mount Vernon Baptist Church located at 230 Stovall Street, Atlanta, Ga 30316.
 
Participants enjoyed a light snack, received valuable resources and information while discussing topics such as: What happens to homeless when they are evicted from shelters and the streets?  Is incarceration the answer?Where do we go from here

USP Atlanta vs. Morris Brown College Debate Training

1 on 1 Personal Development provided training to the inmates for the first “USP Atlanta vs. Morris Brown College Debate” held on May 9, 2016 at 9:00 at the United States Penitentiary.   Participants were Ivory Toldson, Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities; Karol Mason, Deputy Assistant Attorney General, James Cole Deputy Secretary of Education, Michael Smith, Executive Director of My Brothers Keeper, Belay Reddick and Bryant Marks, Presided, Ken Newby, Morehouse College Debate Coach and D.Drew, Warden of USP Atlanta.

Sunday, May 29, 2016 Second Mount Vernon, Feed My Sheep Ministry held it’s first Volunteer Appreciation Brunch.

 

Among the recipients were Ayanna Beyah, Carla Beyah,  Barbara Brown, Cynthia Brown, Dariyn Brown, Devyn, Brown, Evelyn Brown, Jade Brown, Larry Brown,  Maya    Browning, Rutha Brown, Sheria Brown, Robert Cole, Forest and Dondra Gates,  Karen Gilmore, Frankie Hardman, Emma Harris, Betty Haynes, Adrienne Hinton, Brenda Holiday, Princess Smith, Martrice Thomas, Lashown Thompson, Elaine Turman, Ja’Cari Waller-Watkins, Tamara Watkins, Agnes Williams, Joseph Williams, and Juanita Williams. Congratulations, guys for a job well done!
