In 2020, The BOP had 549,600 releases. As of January 2, 2021, according to, the GDOC there were a total of 13,783 residents released (12,358 men/1,425 women released).  The minimum risk level of recidivism for women was 34% compared to 14% for men.  The maximum risk level was 40% for women and 35% for men. (AG’s First step Act 3634 Annual Report – December 2020).  We want to reduce this number even more and with proper training, resources, and your help they can become productive citizens.
